Nelson Reeves was fired from UCLA basketball team

Nelson, a 6-foot-9 junior forward from Modesto, are in the process serving the second suspension this season when he met Friday and Howland after Nelson completed the final exam.

The second suspension this season have come because of the behavior of the ungodly. In what turned out to be the final game to UCLA last Saturday, 69-59 loss to Texas, Nelson spent the rest of the second half on the bench and was seen laughing and pointing to a small group of people in the crowd at the Sports Arena which is chanted his name near the end of the game.

Tuesday, a day after Nelson was delayed for a second time, Howland said there are things that defined Nelson needs to do to start practicing and playing again.

Boxing champion Pedro Sosa and mother dropped 75 feet of kite in es multi …

Emergency services officers in the area of construction under the Cross Bronx Expressway after the brother and sister fell 75 feet from the road above. The woman, 21-year-old Sosa Jeneffer, died. Her 20-year-old Boxer Pedro Luis Sosa, was in a coma.

Newton’s original qualifies for the US Olympic gymnastics team

Newton's original Savannah Vinsant, 18, has qualified for the 2012 U.S. Olympic Gymnastics Team.

18-Year-old Newton native has qualified for the Olympics gymnastics team in 2011, according to USA Gymnastics.

Savannah Vinsant, national trampoline champion, finished in 10th place in the final Thursday in Birmingham, United Kingdom, with a score of 98.445.

Vinsant, which now goes to the college in Lafayette, Louisiana, began dance classes and gymnastics when she was 4 years old and has been coached by former world champion Dmitri Poliaroush since 2001, according to USA Gymnastics.

Last year, he became the first female trampolinist to represent US in the Singapore Youth Olympic Games.

Nadal leads Spain vs. Argentina Davis Cup

HBO, Sports Illustrated team for multi

LOS ANGELES (TheWrap.com)-HBO and Sports Illustrated are United to make a documentary the multi-part "Sports in America: we define the story", the company announced Tuesday.

The documentary, which will also be given by Endgame entertainment and a playground, would examine "how the universal sport has shaped the American character," according to the announcement. This will include personal stories from participants in important moments in the history of the sport.

The project will be equipped with a suite of editorial Sports Illustrated–and, like the more these days, there will be an interactive element is involved. Starting Tuesday, fans will be able to send video responses to moments of their favorite sport to SportInAmerica.com, with a select group chosen to broadcast in the series.

HBO sports executive producer Rick Bernstein is marked "Sports in America" as "one of the sport's most ambitious project that HBO has been launched."

The project, which will be directed and produced by James d. Stern and Adam Del Deo Endgame's, with the play's Colin Callender and Time Inc. editor Terry McDonell Sports Group also produces Executive, will debut on HBO in 2013.
